Noah's First Haircut

The time finally came for my littlest man to have his first haircut. Noah's hair is really unique because it is red, but does not have the usual coarse texture of a redhead. Noah has Jake's hair color, but my baby fine texture. For the longest time he did not have hardly any hair at all, but what he did have was curly, silky, and very fine.

I had gotten so use to having bald babies that I hadn't really noticed how long Noah's hair was getting. It was not all that long on the top, but he had curls on the side and the back. Last week Noah decided he needed to wear his camouflage hat that says "Hunter in Training" everywhere. This made the curls really noticeable and Daddy decided it was time for little man to have his haircut.

The one thing that you have to know about Noah is he can kind of be a bit of a chicken about new experiences. I was expecting the haircut to involve lots of tears and movement, but he was so brave! You could tell he was nervous, but he sat there like a champ. I, of course, was a tearful mess. Mina was watching the whole thing intently wondering what in the world they were doing to her brother. After it was all said and done, he looks very handsome and quite smashing. He just doesn't look like my little baby anymore....sniff.

Getting Started

He is not so sure about this...

That tickles!

And finally, Mina trying to figure out what the heck is going on

Happy Birthday Jamie and Linda

Wow, I am the mother of ten year olds. I can't believe it. As Jamie put it "they are in their two numbers now." They had a pretty good birthday. It was more low key than normal, but still fun. Jamie has had a rash that resembles chicken pox for about a week now. The doctors don't know what it is so they are treating it with anti-biotics and treating him like he is contagious. This meant that no other kids could come. This was quite a bummer, but they still had a great time. I will post pics as soon as I get them uploaded. Until then, Happy Birthday to my oldest babies!
